Presenting probably the most asinine reason to oppose marriage equality

There is an old adage which says give a man enough rope and he will hang himself. In the case of the audio above, I think the adage should be give a bigot enough space and watch her make a fool of herself. With that, I present to you NOM's Jennifer Morse with possibly the dumbest reason EVER to oppose marriage equality. And I think it says more about her biases as a person than marriage equality itself.

Ms. Roback Morse is one of the ugliest humans alive (I mean on the inside).

Yes, because only people who are gay and want to get married have drug problems or sometimes only stay together for a short time. Nobody who is heterosexual and wants to get married has such problems./sarcasm This whole idea that it's horrible that all gay people could get married and not just "the sophisticated educated couple from Berkeley" is ridiculous. I'm a heterosexual and have certainly seen my share of short-lived marriages and people consumed by drugs, alcohol, and other addictions.

doesn't this horrid woman realize that male/female relationships are the same as what she is concerned about with gays? drug addicts, confused people who are straight get married all the time! look at B.Spear's less-than-an-hour marriage and she was "straight!" Hetero marriages are just as good or bad as homosexual marriages would be. The rights of humans extend to all, not just a privileged few!

Because all straight couples who can legally get married are totally healthy and know exactly what they're getting into. Of course there are SOME same sex couples out there who will get married even though they aren't emotionally ready to do so but nobody cared when Britney Spears married Jason Alexander and then got divorced a month later because she was confused and not emotionally together.

That may have been the dumbest thing I've heard all week! And I'm a middle school teacher so I hear some weird stuff pretty frequently. :)

I think this is WONDERFUL!!! If the best argument against marriage equality they can come up with is 'never mind the nice ones, even ICKY gays will get married!', then I think we've already won...

Perfect synopsis, oruboris.
