American pastor gives support to Ugandan anti-gay bill, claims other Christians will support it also

When the evil of men cripples you, God carries you until you can walk again. Time to start walking.

Box Turtle Bulletin provided this video and it ain't pretty.

American pastor David Dykes from the Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler, TX is very vocal in his support of that awful Ugandan anti-gay bill. He is even saying that if the Uganda passes that bill, "Christians" will put pressure on our government not to cut aid to Uganda and if our government does such, then the Church will try to take up the slack and send resources to Uganda.

Don't even start any nonsense about how supposedly "evil" Christianity is because those who would even consider supporting Dykes are NOT Christians in any shape or form. That goes the same for criticizing the state of Texas.

I feel safe in saying that no amount of spin can make what this man proposes look good.

It ain't gonna happen. Mr. Dykes has the same verbal disease that Mike Huckabee and Bryan Fischer has in that he thinks he can speak for all Christiandom. It's a shame the disease if farther along with him than Huckabee and Fischer.

NO he didn't. He defended the definition of marriage and defended Uganda from being bullied by the US. Get your facts straight. He never said a single word about killing gays or supporting the killing of gays.

Nice try anonymous, but you are clearly sidestepping. I said nothing in my post regarding him supporting the killing of gays. I said he supported that awful bill, which - even if it does not call for the execution of gays - calls for the life imprisonment of gays and lesbians, amongst other distasteful measures.

Maybe you need to get YOUR facts straight. And by your defense of this pastor, you need to get your definition of Christianity straight also. The God I know would NEVER support such an awful thing as that bill.

Hey Christians! We need money to send to Uganda. Your generous contributions will be used to construct additional prison facilities, and possibly purchase various tools of execution. So give today, give generously so we can continue god's work in this glorious, moral country! We promise that not one cent of your donation will go to feed or the thousands who the Ugandans want to imprison.

Reverend Dykes had been a disgusting, low intellectual integrity propagandist for awhile.

This is still on the Green Acres Baptist Church public archives. “Homosexuality: Lifestyle or Deathstyle?”

The title alone pretty much proves his moral and intellectual bankruptcy.

Dykes has also opened the U. S. Congress with a prayer that shuts out American government from non-Christians. This likely means that he's very politically connected.

Did I put the link to “Homosexuality: Lifestyle or Deathstyle?” on my post? Here it is if I didn't. He wrote that it's not copyrighted, so I guess that you can use it as you see fit.

Anonymous, it would be a good idea for Mr. Dykes to learn all of the facts about something before opening his mouth.
