'Hate group leader to debate Prop 8 lawyer on Fox News' & other Friday midday news briefs

Fox News Sunday Invites Hate Group Leader For Debate About Same-Sex Marriage - Just in case you haven't heard, this upcoming Fox News Sunday will feature a marriage equality debate between Ted Olson, one of the attorneys who successfully beat down Prop 8 in the courts and Family Research Council head Tony Perkins. And I do agree with the article's lament that Perkins can be considered anywhere - even on Fox News - as a credible voice on lgbt issues in spite of him and his organization's history of outrageous lies and inane comments against the lgbt community. That would be awful within itself. But remember that Huckabee and Santorum will most likely be running for president. Even though they don't have a chance, it should scare folks that such a nasty element could be anywhere close to the White House.
