'South Dakota passes law allowing adoption agencies to discriminate against lgbt taxpayers' & other Mon. midday news briefs

South Dakota law discriminates against lgbt tax payers  'for the sake of the children.'

South Dakota is First State in 2017 to Legalize Discrimination Against LGBT People - And the religious right went the "won't anyone think of the children" route. Instead of outright accusing lgbts of harming children, they are playing the "children will suffer if you don't let adoption agencies and foster care services use tax dollars while discriminating against lgbts"  card.

The first domino falls: South Dakota adoption discrimination bill becomes law - More from Think Progress. We had better pay attention.

Related post: Taxpaying lgbts shouldn't sacrifice rights to 'religious liberty' propaganda - I don't see what's wrong with the lgbt community or leadership making the fact that we pay taxes an issue in the 'religious liberty' argument. We need to be stern and take a hard line on this issue.

Survey Says: We Need To Educate Educators About The Rights Of LGBTQ Students - YES. WE. DO. Point blank.

I’m Trans, Disabled, And Tired Of Fighting To Get Into Bathrooms - Wonderful post which speaks for itself.

GOP lawmakers refuse to protect LGBT students and those with disabilities in school voucher bill - We got LOTS of work to do . . .

Rant, part 1) Enacting laws to prevent gay Americans from ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children in desperate need of stable homes shows the moral squalor at the heart of these adoption agencies and lawbreaking lawmakers. So unquenchable is their love to hate, that they are willing to punish children as a means to further their punishment of LGBTs, and to a lesser extent (for now), any other group they despise (mixed-faith couples, interracial couples, atheists, etc.). Stamp the word “religious” on your organization and now stealing from those groups IN-ORDER-TO punish them becomes Constitutionally protected. IOW, they’re arguing that the Constitution gives them the right to attack any Americans of their choosing and they’re willing to sacrifice children to do it.

This needs to be our rebuttal to every argument that they claim is about protecting children because experience has proven that virtually every single religious-supremacist organization/person would definitely support this BLATANT hypocrisy and perversion of their own stated mission to ensure the welfare of children by placing them in stable loving homes.

We’re talking about political malfeasance, organizational misfeasance, and acts of nonfeasance and we’ve got all the relevant, professional and legal groups behind us. They are usurping the meaning of the First Amendment to get away with this when it was designed to prevent these abuses.

Their use of “religious freedom” as a tack to justify their “right” to assault is code for supremacist-“Christian.” But this is beyond supremacism, these people practice fascism “religiously,” which simply makes them fascists.

And “Christian” my derriere! What about “thou shalt not steal?” And supremacism to the point of ‘loving to hate’ doesn’t just break the First Commandment in both the OT and the NT (hold to and love God, aka Love, first), and it doesn’t just break Jesus’ Second Commandment in the NT - The Golden Rule. Loving to hate is the very definition of evil (the love of the absence of love), making them Satan worshippers at heart.

I am so sick of all this “polite” pussyfooting around when it comes to calling them out. Yes, scarequotes are sometimes used, but not nearly enough, and the more they are referred to as being “religious” or “Christian,” or this being a matter of “moral conviction” or “religious freedom,” the more we play their game, and the more solidified the illegitimate conceptual meanings of those words become.

And now, the exciting conclusion: What we need to do is assault their scurrilous word-play and expose it for what it is! These people are dangerous. Their end game is to criminalize all things LGBT. They’re legislating away our Constitutional rights and it’s just a matter of time before they take away our right to “peacefully assemble.” That means no more LGBT bars, clubs, parades, organizations of any kind, having relationships, sex, and eventually, even being out of the closet. Anti-gay American hate groups have already accomplished this in Russia - you risk jail time for even speaking anything positive about anything LGBT, and we now know all about their newfound love for all things Russian - including dictatorship.

They’ve made it clear that their “religious” beliefs are NOT Biblically based, they just use it as an excuse to define LGBTs as immoral unrepentant sinners - ‘worthy of death’ Leviticus 20:13 - COUNT ON IT! Just think, if we’re so offensive to them, how much more must we be offending “God?” Why they’d be doing him a favor for doing away with us. Plus, they already blame us for everything. Wildfires, droughts, floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, the shipping of jobs overseas, the price of milk. They literally believe that God is so upset that we godless heathens are being treated equally and not being punished, that He’s making His anger known and they’re suffering because of it.

This “religious freedom” crap is just an attempt to co-opt the Constitution, so that it’s protections only apply to them. THEY want special rights, basically everything they accuse us of doing is what they want to do. They’re masters at projecting. Calling them supremacists, fascists, evil lovers, Satan worshippers, hypocrites, liars, cheaters, thieves is not about making baseless assertions, it’s simple math.

I would, however, suggest that when calling them those things, that you be able to show your work. And remember, it’s not about changing their minds, they are irredeemable, it’s about educating the rest of us as to how and why they are so dangerous in the hopes that it motivates us to take the necessary actions to subdue their dominionist designs. As far as I’m concerned, it’s already too late, and though I’m not giving up yet, I’m getting a passport and am planning on doing some serious traveling abroad so I know where to go, hopefully before they round us all up.
