I mean really, the mere fact they would say this on air shows how mind-mindbogglingly little they actually understand about our legal system.
It's almost a shame that this idea of theirs is so monumentally dumb it would be impossible for it to make it to a courtroom. I would love to see them go into open court, try to explain the damages that "homosexuality" has done to them, and have the judge completely throw it out as being completely without merit.
The really funny thing is that the reverse would actually have a snowballs chance of getting somewhere. If homosexuals filed a class-action lawsuit against people like LaBarbera and Scarborough, it could actually have some merit to it. The very CDC research that Scarborough cites shows that promoting homophobia has serious and costly health consequences. And the funniest part is that the logical defense against such a suit would be for LaBarbera and Scarborough to admit that so few people listen to them and that they are so ineffective at promoting homophobia that the couldn't possibly be responsible for all the cases of homophobia-related ailments. I know it'd never work, but still fun to think about.Patrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04113812955828786548noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33855769.post-83189932998453486812013-10-17T21:41:15.201-07:002013-10-17T21:41:15.201-07:00The whole ex-gay thing is a sham. There is no such...The whole ex-gay thing is a sham. There is no such thing as being ex-gay. Some may have been Bi but a truly gay person will always be gay. The reason they hate themselves is because society has been cruel. No one wants these people on their show because it is proven that you can't change your orientation so these people are full is crap. Most will say they were abused as a child or they lived the "lifestyle" of drugs and sex. Most have not been abused and if you choose to indulge in lots of sex and drugs, that's your fault. Being gay does not mean you must live that way. They lie to themselves and to anyone who will listen. Alan Chambers even said it doesn't work.
They want to make it an orientation! They are being discriminated against too! They have yet to say how. Being laughed at is not discrimination. BJ Jackson Lincolnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01047127771068969215noreply@blogger.com
