The Or...NOM's last ploy was pretty transparent. The Oregon AG had said months ago she wouldn't defend the law, yet NOM acted as they learned of this at the last possible moment.<br /><br />They know they can't actually make a case any longer. No arguments have worked, and they don't want to go into court and be defeated. So their gambit was to wait until the last minute, and craft a story so crazy they knew they'd never be granted cert. We have a couple of secret clients, and we're showing up four days before the hearing asking to be heard, and, oh by the way, we're not from Oregon. They knew that would never go anywhere. But they can claim they tried, and that homosexualist judge kept them out, after their ever so valiant attempt to preserve "natural marriage."<br /><br />Then, their hail mary was to at least try to get a delay by filing an appeal of their ruling on standing. I'm sure they knew it would likely not be granted, but was worth the effort, just in case...probably all the time praying they'd never be granted standing, so they wouldn't have to try to actually make the case.BJohnMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04268277554802121599noreply@blogger.com
