'Ex-gay' video trailer features homoerotic imagery

Evan Hurst of Truth Wins Out brought this to my attention.

Maybe it's just me but if you are advertising a video featuring how people can supposedly change from being gay, certain images in its trailer such as the one below makes your assertions into a parody:

And the image of this strapping, sexy man with the water causing his clothes to stick to his muscular sexy body like a second skin is prominent throughout the following trailer, along with the standard bull we have learned to expect from the ex-gay crowd of activists and ministers - many of whom are featured in the video:

  1. obviously thought up by an "ex-gay" nthat needed some...you know...would love to know how maqny of the people in the video have strayed since the recording...but of course we shouldn't expect honesty from the owners...$$$ at stake...

I avoid watching a lot of the Right wing watch videos because they transcript them, and honestly, I've grown sick of hearing people's hate. But this one is too good. I mean really, who the hell are they kidding. A gay announcer is talking to gay people about how they stopped being gay, while turning a baptism into a playgirl moment. Can we just hope that this goes out to all churches just so we can have on record how stupid they are?

Been there, done that, and got the Bible cover. As a Christian, I am appalled that the church is so hesitant to accept the reality of homosexuality. Yes, most of the life of a homosexual is far from gay, but it is reality.

I was a youth pastor, my Dad had been a pastor. He never respected me until I came out and was honest about who I am. We are better friends than I ever imagined possible.

I am thankful that there are some churches that are open and affirming, you just have to find them. Otherwise, you have to catch the pastors of closed churches making out in video stores.
