Twitter explodes with anger over appointment of hate group leader Tony Perkins to religious freedom committee

A lot of people on Twitter are NOT happy that Family Research Council's Tony Perkins was appointed to the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom. Needless to say, they are being very vocal with their disapproval.

And those were some of the "nicer" ones. I also noticed that a lot of the tweets linked to articles from various sites which details how FRC and Perkins denigrate and stigmatize the LGBTQ community. It underlines what I said before. With more spotlight because of their growing influence in the Trump Administration, anti-LGBTQ groups like FRC and figures like Perkins are receiving more scrutiny. And that's exactly what we want.
