8 more days to go - Desperation brings out the ugliness in some people

No words, just links on how ugly it's going to be until Nov. 4:

Obama called a n***** at Palin Rally in Iowa (I don't know. It certainly sounds like it to me) - UPDATE - turns out the word may not have been used.

Transparently Backwards: The "Common Alliance" of Smearmongerers Strikes Again - you are going to hear about this ad naseum until November 4 on Drudge and Fox. It used to be that when people were doing character assasinations, they would have the good taste not to be so open about it. For the record, Obama actually said:

" . . . one of the, I think, the tragedies of the civil rights movement, was because the civil rights movement became so court focused, I think that there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributive change, and in some ways we still stuffer from that."

And last but not least, this lovely bit of news:

Skinheads held over Obama death plot (Are you paying attention, Kevin McCullough)

Lastly, a bit of seriousness:

My heart goes out to Jennifer Hudson and family because of the tragedy that has affected them. Having lost my father through the violence of others, I know how hard it is to gain equilibrium and healing from such a tragedy.

The Hudson family are in my prayers.

  1. Alvin, I disagree with you on who would be the better president at this time. I did see a photo of the idiot who said that he would kill Obama ... very scary. I hope that he serves some time for his threat.

I did not know of Jennifer Hudson until this tragedy. She and her family are in my prayers, too.

  2. Just think - Palin would be a heartbeat away from the presidency if McCain wins. If that doesnt' scare you then nothing will. LOL

  3. Alvin, it scares me that Biden would a hearbeat away from the presidency. I think that Obama would much better president than Biden. Biden is the only Senator that can put both feet in his mouth at the same time.

Let's both pray for whoever is elected. Its not a job that any sane/normal/average person would aspire to, yet we all have our opinion as to who should occupy it.

  4. I will take Obama and Biden over McCain and Palin any day for several reasons.

But about feet in mouth, I guess Palin's inability to call those who bomb abortion clinics terrorists or any of the other gaffes she made should be overlooked, huh?

  5. Alvin, give me a link to where she ever said she approved of abortion clinic bombers? Are there any former unrepentant abortion clinic bombers that have been recycled as Ayers has been? Ayers and his wife are respected member of the greater Chicago community.

  6. I never said she approved of abortion clinic bombers but when asked, she would not call them terrorists, which is funny with all the talk she has done about Ayers.

And speaking of him, he is irrelevant seeing that he has nothing to do with Obama's campaign. I mean the attempt to link him to Obama has been silly.
As fast as Obama explains the situation, FOX and company try to think of another nuance to attack him on.

And by the way, here is the link - http://afp.google.com/article/ALeqM5gUWbN0-jC2TYkd5mButkmzRd9Tvg
