I gave Chuck Norris hell earlier this year because of a lying column he wrote which defended foreign countries that persecute gays.
This video he made with his second wife,Gena O'Kelley, belongs in the comedy section of youtube.
In it, the two are talking sounding the old, broken down, overused claim of "our country is at a tipping point and will be destroyed if we don't make the right choices."
Now the two doesn't go into detail about what freedoms will be taken away, nor do they implicitly accuse Obama of being the one who will take the freedoms away.
But you just know what they are implying.
There is more hysteria in this video than in a Friday cliffhanger of Young and the Restless:

so let me get this right, evangelical chirstains are the only ones who enjoy freedom?
what about freedom from want? the desire to marry the person i love regardless of gender?
what about freedom from fear? fear that some people have that they will be the victims of a crime when walking down the street, holding hands of there significant other?

Second, Chuck is not only on the wrong side of this "war" but he can't act either. He could fight, but he never was a good actor.
What freedoms does this white, male, Christian person with money not have!?
Try being a poor, legally married, female, lesbian whos marriage and health care will be in danger if my government is run by the GOP/church.

I second what BJ states in the post above about your contribution to the community. Your perspective, your analysis, and your speaking in a public way helps me especially, because I want to help our local churches of color see that there is a world within their four walls of which they are not aware, and fall way behind in meeting the needs of those individuals.
Mr. and Mrs. (#2) Norris are only afraid of their own shadow and I feel they are sounding the usual high pitched frequency that only canine ears will hear. We see them blowing, we see the ears on the subjects twitching, we know something is happening, but we don't hear it.
The question then sould become, how do we get the normally gental souls who are responding to realize that noise is ONLY noise. Nothing as horrible as what the Norris' describe is going to happen, and the distraction needs to be ignored. That will best be accomplished by showing what all of those whistles over the decades have produced. The story becomes one of Chicken Little.
