A white woman's reason to vote for Romney

From my online buddy Pam Spaulding comes a tweet from a young woman giving the reason why she is voting for Romney. That some folks share this sentiment doesn't surprise me.

But for someone to put down a tweet like this is the main reason why I always wanted to shoot my television every time I hear a pundit ask whether or not Obama's election in 2004 would create a "post-racial" society.

It's a dumb question. A black man as president won't change the mind of a rabid racist anymore than laws outlawing racial discrimination.

People will be stupid and hateful. The trick is not to end their hate, but contain it so it does no damage.

Anyway, Obama/Biden 2012!!!!

Anyone who tries to say that racism no longer exists is someone who has just identified themselves as a liar. I'm a white woman, a professional (most of the people we associate with are supposedly educated) and I hear this kind of disgusting crap all too often.

If it makes any difference, I'm a white woman and this disgusts me.

Saddly this person more than likely does not have a clue about any issues other than the race for president.
She sounds like folks in my home state of Ohio. I escaped to Maryland 5 years ago.
Vote Yes on 6!

The sad thing is that there are probably a good share of Romney voters that are voting for him for the same reason, but are smart enough to give a different reason.

The fact that you feel the need to state you're a "white woman" seems a little racist in itself to be honest.

@Unknown - I love your typo. It is, indeed, an "icture."

Mr. McEwen, did you mean Barack Obama's election in 2008, not 2004?
