Naturally, not everyone is happy about AZ Gov. Jan Brewer's vetoing of the anti-gay segregation bill:

It's not a war on religious liberty. It's a war on Christians.

Gov. Brewer - does that mean Muslim bakeries must participate in same-sex weddings?

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer makes Christians in her state second class citizens.

BREAKING NEWS: Religious Freedom vetoed in Arizona! Let the persecution of Christians begin! #SB1062
— Conservative Arizona (@ConservatAZ) February 27, 2014
So if you're a Christian and you live in Arizona, your governor just told you the First Amendment doesn't apply there.

Too bad for the people of Arizona, Brewer caved to the bullies and is allowing discrimination against Christians. Another Republican cave.

Suck it you uncivilized, anti-American Jim Crow loving fascist paps. REAL Americans reject your war on American values of freedom of equality. Put your white-hoods away, they are so passe.
Want some cheese to go with that whine?
Worship where and how you like. However, when you start a business that is purported to cater to the public, I find it hard to understand how 'public' can be redefined to mean only a select group. Unless your business is part of and/or sponsored by a church, the public is everyone. Isn't that what makes the public, public?
No one is telling any Christian that they cannot practice their religion or believe as they choose by refusing them the ability to treat another as a second class citizen, there is nothing in the constitution does NOT give Christians or anyone else the right to encroach upon another's freedom.
I don't care what your religion is! The rules apply to EVERYONE!
People can beleive what they beleive, however when hate and bigotry are combined to make laws that discriminate certain groups of people then it is up to the government to make equal access to public services accessable to all. I beleive Gov. Brewer was right on vetoing this law as there is no merit to religious freedom. Oh, by the way, religious freedom was used during Jim Crow era to discriminate against blacks in the south. If you are truely faithful to your religion, one must know the true meaning of its texts. Those who are bigots have forgotten God's commandment Love thy neighbours as you love thyself. It doesn't mean you have to agree with someone, but accept everyone for who they truely are. Its ok to agree to disagree but please do be a jerk and propose hateful speech which can make discriminatory laws.
John Powell has it right. A business is not a person and does not hold individual rights. A business cannot have a religion, it cannot believe, it is an artificial entity, not a person. The protections offered by a business license come with limitations, including the requirement to serve ALL the public, not just the ones the owner likes. This is such a clear-cut distinction I really don't understand why it is so difficult for so many to understand.
