I will give it to Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal. He is slightly slicker than Indiana Gov. Mike Pence when it comes to sidestepping and being long-winded.
But all of the slick talk in the world doesn't cover up the hypocrisy which he spews. Jindal supports businesses being able to discriminate against lgbts under the guise of "religious liberty," but he does NOT support giving lgbts any legal protection from any discrimination at all.
And this is the same man who wants to be our president. God help us, indeed:

First off, one of these days I am going to have the opportunity to explain to one of these nincompoops the difference between religious freedom, and christian supremacy.
Secondly, I'm really glad he believes his people are nice enough to not tolerate discrimination, but he isn't the one being forced to depend on that level of niceness to have their most basic needs met.
Jindal: "Religious liberty created our country"
That’s like saying religion [conservative Christianity] created the constitution.
Jindal: "There are many that turn to the heavy hand of government to solve society’s problems too easily."
Like him and those of his ilk.
Jindal: "I think that instead we need to be working with people in their hearts and minds."
By demonizing and dehumanizing us? Yeah, you’re already doing that.

Erica, you nailed it. I often write letters to the editor blasting other letter writers for their hypocrisy when it comes to their Biblical arguments against marriage equality and contentions that somehow their "religious beliefs" trump the rights guaranteed all Americans in the Constitution. Naturally, these same people just continue writing the same hypocritical things over and over again. I’ve finally decided to change my tack and start framing it as about maximizing their supremacy by using religion (AKA conservative Christianity) as a cover to meet their theocratic ends.
Legalizing the right to act on religious beliefs to the detriment of other Americans pretty much proves they despise equality and by extension, democracy itself.
