Carrie Prejean to appear at 'pro-family' function. Will she talk about 'the tape'

UPDATE - Prejean will not be appearing. Pan down to the end of the post for more details.

Based on the above flyer, Prejean will be appearing in front of a so-called pro-family group in New Jersey where she will no doubt feed everyone the same line about her "persecution" and receive a standing ovation.

I bet she won't mention "the tape."

I bet she won't mention "the tape" as she goes around the country during her "I'm a victim of the homosexual conspiracy" tour.

And she hasn't been the only one conspicuously silent about "the tape."

In my post which talked about Maggie Gallagher's failed attempt to pull a "Phyllis Burgess," I failed to mention that when she was asked about the tape, she claimed to not have all of the facts.

That's fair. According to the gossip site TMZ, here are some of those facts:

We have more info on Carrie Prejean's abrupt about-face during the settlement negotiations with Miss California USA lawyers -- when they showed her the X-Rated version of Home Alone ... starring Carrie herself.

When the video started playing, Carrie's first reaction was "that's disgusting" ... and Carrie denied it was her.

Then, the camera angle changed ... and panned up to her face. She was caught red-handed ... so to speak.

Carrie was rendered speechless and immediately began talking with her lawyer. We're told it took about 15 seconds for Carrie to drop her $1 million dollar demand.

If this thing blows up (and it should), NOM's narrative will most likely be that Prejean is continuing to be persecuted for her so-called Christians beliefs.

But that's not true.

Prejean is being called to the carpet for her possible hypocrisy. Her alleged roaming hands are incidental.

Prejean is getting attention because she and others anointed her as some type of saint who is being persecuted for her Christian beliefs; a symbol of how Christianity in America is being overtaken by the so-called forces of darkness, secular humanism, and basic evil (which apparently lgbts are on the front lines).

They are right to a point.

Prejean is a symbol.

She is a symbol of a Christianity whose purveyors brag of lofty standards but then will give excuses as to why they themselves don't measure up to those standards.

She is a symbol of a Christianity which will leave the homeless, hungry, and destitute out in the cold but devote too much time and effort in denying lgbts the basic rights of employment, home safety, and relationship protection.

Carrie Prejean is a symbol of the two-faced bastardization of Christianity that has unfortunately taken America by storm, where folks are not measured by the size of their hearts but the sanctimonious audacity of their lies.

UPDATE - This just in - She won't be attending. Is it because of the tape?

Hat tip to online buddy, Scott.
