According to Erin Reed (whose work you really should support), one of the reasons why the GOP came up embarrassingly short after last week's elections was their dependence on transphobia to get their people to the polls.
This is evident in the wacky commercial below sent out by anti-trans group the Americans Principles Project. The commercial claims that the government will be taking kids away in order to make them trans. APP reportedly spent over $2 million on ads like this to defeat the re-election campaign of Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear.
The ads failed. And it wasn't even close.
