Gary Bauer - the anti-gay talking head who undermined the fight against HIV/AIDS in the Reagan Administration - This post from 2014 is a prime example. One of the attendees of Trump's event last night, Gary Bauer, is a long time anti-LGBTQ talking head hiding behind religious beliefs and so-called support of the "traditional family." He also worked in the Reagan Administration during the early days of the AIDS crisis. According to the late C. Everett Koop, who was the Surgeon General at the time, Bauer undermined efforts to fight the AIDS crisis because he felt that those afflicted with it got what they deserved.
