No trouble at gay rights march, despite protests - While lgbts of color were having fun in the capital city, other lgbts in Upstate South Carolina was holding their first march. My hat goes off to them cause they had to deal with a lot of nonsense.
Petition effort questioned - Apparently those pushing the petition against marriage equality in Maine are allegedly using deceptive tactics. Color me surprised.
JoeMyGod's White Gay People's Pride Guide: Who's Missing? - Michael Petrelis brings up a very good point about the lgbt community. Now watch how quick he gets jumped on because of it.
The face of the LGBT movement and the mainstream media: tackling the diversity problem - Pam Spaulding wrote in the very same issue a day before Petrelis. Her take on it is equally excellent.

hi,
allow me to say big thanks for seeing my points about the blinding whiteness of the official pride guide created by joemygod.
it's important for a white gay, me, to say i don't like when official parts of the community totally omit living, breathing people of color and transpeople.
it is 2009 and our official guides MUST include the full color of the LGBT rainbow.
no execuses!

Hey Micheal,
Thank you for making that important point. If more of us did, we wouldn't to deal with things like that debacle with Proposition 8 in California.
[UPDATE 2: SF Pride has denounced the 'Pride09' guide. See the committee's denouncement of the guide in the comments section. And thanks, SF Pride, for speaking out against the white-washing of the guide.]

it is very welcome news to have the committee make such a strong statement about what is wrong with the guide.
