School accused of trying to keep lesbian students from graduating

This is a hot mess:

In spite of all of their lies, the religious right is correct about one thing. This so-called culture battle is about our children. And notice, I said "our children." The problem has been we have allowed these so-called pro-family groups boggart the conversation and take sole possession to certain terms like "morality" and "family." We have also unfortunately allowed them to covertly omit our lgbt children from the conversation regarding the future.

They don't own that conversation alone. We have a stake in it. More than that, we have a duty to make sure that our lgbt children get fair representation and support when situations like this arise.

We owe that to them.

I'm giggling at your use of the phrase "boggart the conversation"!
