Let's never forget the lgbt community during Black History Month

This month marks a holiday near and dear to my heart - Black History Month. Enjoy this video from the Human Rights Campaign.

And in the coming days, I will be posting more videos of noted lgbts of color who have made their mark throughout history, as well as a Black History Month quiz.

How many questions will you answer correctly?

tell this to all the people (like Harry Jackson) that lash out at those who call for Queer Equality, saying "how dare you compare the struggle for African American Equality the same as what you do."

I think that while Black gays may feel some of the greatest pressure and burden in society, they may in fact wield the greatest power - because, should they choose this path, they can come out of the closet and be a great living example in their own community. They can stand up to all those "bishops" who say gay rights are an illegitimate claim to the civil rights mantle.

Great video. I like the song in the background. It is a shame that in our diverse LGBT population that we still have minorities within our minority. We need to take the lead in showing what equality really is.
