Franklin Graham has to learn the hard way on Twitter about attacking Disney and LGBTQ teens. |
On Saturday, Franklin Graham ran into a Twitter ratio buzzsaw for his latest attack on the LGBTQ community. And it restored my faith in humanity. Graham sent out a tweet criticizing the Disney show, Andi Mack, for showing a teenage gay couple
Disappointed in @Disney again. Parents be aware of what your kids are watching.https://t.co/SMe36qjSlu— Franklin Graham (@Franklin_Graham) August 10, 2019
Needless to say, quite a few folks weren't happy with his tweet and they defended Disney for showing a teenage gay couple. Some of the the many tweets blasting Graham are as follows:
More bigotry wrapped in religious dogma. Bravo to Disney for its commitment to inclusion.— Jeffrey Luscombe (@JeffreyLuscombe) August 10, 2019
Seeing LGBT kids in love is better than seeing LGBT kids hanging from a rope from the back of their bedroom doors. Representation matters.— Greg Hogben (@MyDaughtersArmy) August 10, 2019
Good for Disney. People don’t turn gay when they turn 18. They’re born that way. Maybe you should be happy that this could be the thing that prevents some teens from committing suicide.— David Hoffman (@atDavidHoffman) August 10, 2019
Oh FFS. Stop it with your fake outrage. Kids these days are facing school shootings, climate change and a rise in racism and hate crimes. And THIS is what you’re worried about? Kids seeing people love each other? pic.twitter.com/sLCj8CNYrL— Ida Skibenes ❄️ (@ida_skibenes) August 10, 2019
Tough words coming from someone who supports a racist man married 3x's. Surrounded by pedophiles. Paid to keep affairs silent. Told over 10k lies. A 5x draft dodger. But by all means claim a moral high ground over a TV show about LGBTQ who demonstrate love better than you do.— Scott Huffman for Congress (@HuffmanForNC) August 11, 2019
Yeah they’re watching the leader of the free world mock Asians and disabled people. They’re watching him call places where their parents are from s—-hole countries. They’re watching him bully and harass families of color. My 7 yr old granddaughter gets it why don’t you?— MySera (@mysera26) August 11, 2019
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I'll happily add this to my kids' watch list now because seeing representation of real life is important in our family.— Heretical Jesus Follower (@bibleblvheretic) August 11, 2019
