Y'all, we need to pray for the Log Cabin Republicans after its vile 'Thank You President Donald J. Trump' tweet

I'm probably going to get blocked by the Log Cabin Republicans for this, so watch it while you can.  But I have to ask these folks:

What the HELL is wrong with y'all?

From LGBTQnation

The Log Cabin Republicans released an awkward video to honor George Washington’s birthday by praising former President Donald Trump. The video is for “President’s Day,” giving them a way to shoehorn Trump in, but that isn’t actually a federal holiday. The video features several queer supporters decrying their adoration for the most viciously anti-LGBTQ President in the nation’s history. The usual suspects appear in the video, including the group’s spokesperson Charles Moran, journalist Chadwick Moore, and the blogger “Brokeback Patriot.”

Bear in mind that while in office, Trump waged war against the LGBTQ people. He opened up the White House to religious right groups who used their access in attempts to deny us our rights as Americans.

This is the same Donald Trump whose administration (thank you, Human Rights Campaign for this partial list)

Appointed anti-LGBTQ judges: Trump has appointed anti-LGBTQ judges with alarming anti-LGBTQ records to appointments at every level of the judicial system, including anti-equality Supreme Court Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh and federal nominees Kacsmaryk, Mateer, Bounds, Vitter. Menashi and others.

Supported employment discrimination against LGBTQ people: The Trump administration submitted amicus briefs to the U.S. Supreme Court supporting discrimination against LGBTQ people.

Banned transgender service members from the military: Against the expert advice of military leadership, medical authorities, budget analysts, 70% of Americans and the armed forces of allied countries, Trump and Pence banned transgender people from serving in the military.

Rolled back Obama-era non-discrimination protections: Trump’s Department of Justice upended previous DOJ interpretations of the Civil Rights Act that protect transgender and non-binary workers from employment discrimination and ceased enforcing non-discrimination protections as well as taking a hostile stance to LGBTQ workers in court.

Issued rule to license discrimination: Trump’s Department of Labor issued a regulation designed to allow federal contractors to claim a religious exemption to fire LGBTQ workers because of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
Created a hostile work environment for LGBTQ federal employees: According to Politico: “[The Trump administration] fostered a climate where six staffers who are LGBT described removing their wedding rings before coming to work in the morning, taking down photos of their partners and families or ultimately finding new jobs further away from certain political appointees. They did not want to be identified; two said they feared being reassigned for being gay."
Undermined Section 1557 Rule: HHS published a proposed major change to the administrative rule interpreting Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) to remove explicit protections for LGBTQ people in healthcare programs and activities by excluding LGBTQ people from protections from discrimination based on sex stereotyping and gender identity.

Created a Religious Discrimination Division: HHS created a new office whose sole purpose would be to defend physicians and other medical professionals who decide to refuse care, including to LGBTQ patients.

Guidance for Schools on Transgender Students. The Departments of Education and Justice eliminated Obama-era guidance clarifying that schools must treat transgender students consistent with their gender identity. This encourages schools officials to permit harassment of transgender students, deny access to facilities consistent with gender identity, and refuse to use correct names and pronouns -- all inflicting untold emotional harm.

Rejected Complaints From Transgender Students: The Department of Education refused to respond to civil complaints filed by transgender students, including those who were barred from using bathrooms that correspond with their gender identity. This increases the burden for transgender students to combat these harmful policies.

I suppose that even as I speak, someone is writing a very erudite and highly intellectual rebuke of the Log Cabin Republicans for this.

But as far as I'm concerned, damn that. What hell? Seriously what the hell?

I know that LGBTQ Americans did not struggle and fight all of these years, endured hatred, violence, death, second-class citizenship, HIV/AIDS and other bigoted calamities which have failed to bring us down to have a bunch of opportunistic, bottom-feeding jive asses kiss up to the most anti-LGBTQ president in the history of this country as if he's the second coming of Dolly Parton and Cher!

And PLEASE don't run any game with me about "tolerating differences of opinion."  That's bullshit  This is not about a difference of opinion in the LGBTQ community. This is downright lunacy.  It's madness.  It's the equivalent of slaves thanking "massa" for whipping their asses. This tweet is completely devoid of dignity and self-respect. It's downright embarrassing. It makes me want to mimic that little cat in the Looney Toons cartoon who puts a bag over his head in shame every time his father, Sylvester, gets beaten up by Tweety Bird.

Allow me to say this another way - the Log Cabin Republicans are apparently a bunch of selfish, calculating, opportunistic, super-TRIFLING motherf@ckers who only have THEIR own craven self-interests at heart. They don't care about the rest of us. They don't care about anyone else in the community - not LGBTQ men and women, not LGBTQ children, not LGBTQ families, not the parents of LGBTQ people, not the children of LGBTQ people. not LGBTQ people of color. They don't care about anyone but themselves.

I'm going to church so I can pray for these fools. I'm gonna need some anointing oil AND holy water. Heck, I'm gonna need one of those prayer cloths Robert Tilton used to send.

Anybody got Peter Popoff's phone number?
