'Dodgers facing backlash for disinviting drag charity group after right-wing complaints' & other Mon midday news briefs

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence

The Dodgers booted the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. Then came a big-league backlash - See what happens when you cave in to right-wing pressure nonsense.

Court temporarily blocks N.J. school district policy to out LGBTQ students - The block is a product of the state attempting to stop the school from pushing a bad policy instead of the other way around.

Kirk Cameron's Anti-LGBTQ+ Children's Book to be Released On First Day of Pride Month - I don't think he is going to get as much attention as he wants here.

A nicely written article indeed by the Times. Thoughtful and rational. Unlike many others. Thank you, HB&HM for bringing the situation to the attenion of your readers (of which I am one). It even mentions me by name! My name never gets in the papers (wonder why...)

As you might have heard, things have taken a turn for the better. The Dodgers had a change of heart (after an avalanche of criticism) and all is forgiven (more or less).

Though meanwhile, we were brought up in yesterdays White House Press Briefing. Um, yikes?

Our particular situation is resolved for the better, but the main issue (weaponizing religion and anti-trans feelings for political purposes) is still front and center.

Thanks!
