A Different World returns with a refreshing take on a coming-of-age queer story - As a black gay man, I've always felt disconnected to the original iteration of A Different World because there were no LGBTQ storylines. In the show's defense, this was a period of time in which there were very few LGBTQ storylines on any shows because of the controversy it would cause. THANK YOU A Different World for addressing situations regarding LGBTQ students on HBCUs. And doing it rather well, I see.
The US deported LGBTQ migrants to countries where homosexuality makes them a target - And I bet it's deliberate. More proof that the transphobic LGBs who voted for Trump (yes there are some) are writing death warrants for our community.
